Materials
HandySitts are constructed primarily from FSC-certified solid Birch cut from sustainable forests in the European Baltics. Steel, along with BPA and phthalate free plastic components, are also used.
Economical use of resources
An ultra compact high chair design is not only practical for space conscious parents, restaurants and grandparents, it also means less resources are required to make a single high chair.
Transport and fuel
The Portable Seat ships pre-assembled, weighs a mere 5lbs and measures 3.5" x 12.5" x 21.5". The Chair ships flat-packed, weighs 12lbs and measures 28" x 14" x 3". Needless to say, the fuel required to ship them on a per unit basis is less than for competing high chairs.
Safe varnishes and paints
All are water-based and formaldehyde free.
Designed and made to last
Because they're made from solid wood and steel, HandySitt high chairs last a long time. And, all components are removable so it’s easy to provide replacement parts when needed to increase the product life span.
Designed with recycling in mind
When our high chairs do reach an end after years of use, disassembly is straight forward so steel and plastic components can be separated and recycled.
Made in Europe - localized production
All manufacturing occurs in Europe. It's the only way minui can guarantee quality, manage environmental impact and guarantee your child won't be exposed to lead paint.
